Teacher

I started dancing at the age of 3, and trained until I was 18. I worked towards exams in ballet and jazz and performed on stage in the annual show. I established at a young age, that dancing was good for the soul. My kids have danced at Gail Ashley School of Dance since the age of 2. I love the ethos of the school, and the opportunities made available to the pupils. I joined Gail’s adult tap class in 2013 and made a return to the stage with a brilliant bunch of women. There is no doubt that dance releases happy hormones, instils a sense of pride and accomplishment, boosts confidence and development, all the while making lifelong friends. Monday to Friday I am a clinical biochemist in the NHS, but at the weekend I am a dance teacher and dance mum. I am very fortunate to be able to pursue all my favourite things. I recently achieved my B.A.T.D teachers exam and I love encouraging kids to grow and create forever memories.
